BOTOX ALLERGAN is a private brand of Botulinum Toxin type A manufactured by Allergan Inc (USA). The product is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for use in removing wrinkles for people aged 18 to 65.
This is the highest quality botox line today, refined to the highest purity, with the outstanding advantage of not being resistant to drugs, only effective at the injection site without spreading to other areas. It has been widely used for over 12 years, with millions of patients around the world, with many different medical treatments.
Botox ALLERGAN is a natural, refined protein derived from an exotoxin produced by anaerobic bacteria called clostridium botulinum, which has the effect of relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles to blur or eliminate wrinkles

2. Indications of Botox 100 Units Allergan
- Used in some pathological cases: Eyelid spasm, strabismus, cerebral palsy, neck muscle tone disorder, increased sweating..
- Used in aesthetics: The US FDA allows the use to remove dynamic wrinkles (appearing only when expressing emotions: happy, sad.) and prevent the formation of static wrinkles (always appearing): Wrinkles on the forehead, corners of the eyes, between the eyebrows and some other areas: chin, bridge of the nose.
- In some studies, the drug is also used to treat headaches of unknown origin and some prostate spasms that cause urinary retention.

3. Contraindications of Botox 100 Units Allergan
People who are sensitive to any ingredient of the drug.
Women who are breastfeeding, pregnant or suspect they are pregnant.
People with a history of neuromuscular diseases.
4. How to use - dosage of Botox 100 Units Allergan
How to use:
The drug is administered by intramuscular injection
Mix the powder with 0.9% NaCl solution.
Treatment of blepharospasm can be injected subcutaneously
Treatment of hyperhidrosis is injected intradermally
Dosage:
- Blepharospasm: initial dose 12.5 - 25 U (0.05 - 0.1mL per injection site), maximum dose per eye not exceeding 25 U. After one course (about 3 months), the therapy can be repeated indefinitely, the dose can be doubled if the response to the first course is considered insufficient (the effect does not last more than 2 months). Maximum 100 U/course.
- Hemifacial spasm: cumulative dose in 2 months must not exceed 200 U.
- Strabismus: each muscle uses 0.05 - 0.15ml
- Spasmodic torticollis: start with the lowest effective dose, each site uses no more than 50 U, maximum dose is 6 U/kg/course of 2 months.
- Cerebral palsy in children: 4 - 8 U/kg/course of 2 months, repeat when the effectiveness of the previous injection decreases.
- Increased sweating of the armpits: use 50 U on each armpit, repeat every 16 weeks when the effectiveness of the previous injection decreases and the doctor deems it necessary.
- Vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows: total dose 20 U/course of 3 months.
- Chronic migraine: 155 - 195 U/course of 12 weeks.
- Neurologically related bladder wall muscle hyperactivity: 200 U, consider re-injection after at least 3 months when the previous injection's effectiveness has decreased.
5. Precautions when using Botox 100 Units Allergan
- Use caution when using the drug for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease that causes peripheral neuromuscular dysfunction, at risk of angle-closure glaucoma (including anatomically narrow eye angles)
- When injecting into or near anatomically vulnerable structures, injecting near the lungs, especially the apex of the lungs, with inflammation at the injection site or with excessive muscle weakness or atrophy in the muscle to be injected.
- Use caution in children under 12 years of age regarding safety and effectiveness in the treatment of blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and focal dystonia or spasmodic torticollis; in people under 18 years of age, it has not been proven in vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows.
- Diagnosis to rule out possible causes of secondary hyperhidrosis such as hyperthyroidism and pheochromocytoma.
6. Use of Botox in pregnant and lactating women
- These drugs should only be used when the benefits outweigh the possible risks to the fetus and young children.
7. Use of Botox in drivers and machine operators
- Botox does not affect drivers or machine operators.
8. Side effects of Botox 100 Units Allergan
Botox causes some side effects such as:
- Pain at the injection site, weakness at the injection site or in accessory muscles.
- Anxiety can lead to vagal-vascular responses including symptomatic hypotension and transient syncope.
